USING YOUR PHONE TO RECORD:  Most smartphones have a sound recording app that allows you to record and save audio.  If you do not currently have a recording app, there are many free microphone apps available for download.  If you plan to use your phone to record, WAV format is best.  For Android phones, this can usually be done by opening the Sound Recorder app and selecting the highest recording quality (prior to recording).
